This article appeared on my Google result list when I used the words “legal driving age”. Eric Peters is an automotive columnist and author of Automotive Atrocities: The Cars You Love to Hate (Motor Books International) and a new book, Road Hogs. Peters argues that although teenagers have their fair share of wrecks, they should have more driving experience rather than less, and therefore have should start driving early. He also argues that youth is not the main problem behind accidents involving young drivers but rather inadequate instruction. Peters seems very anti regulations, and lumps legal driving age with speed limit, seat belt laws, drunk driving, smoking drugs, etc…
