Homework for Tuesday
1)    Choose 4 to 6 words of your web search of “night” (activity 1), and write a paragraph or a poem that produces a picture of night in reader’s mind. Example:
Night
Stars glitter,
Dusting dreams with imagination
Darkness creeps,
Suffering sleep with nightmares
How quickly peace yield to chaos.
2)    Read Scene III, Act III
1- Look up words you don’t know using an on-line dictionary.
2- Note on the margins of the text each time Romeo talks about death and killing himself (23-24) + note the reaction of Friar Laurence (25).
Questions:
1-    Who is Friar Laurence blaming for Romeo’s predicament? (lines 26-29)
2-    Romeo claims that Friar Laurence cannot understand how he feels, why? (65-71)
3-    Why is Friar Laurence frantic? (73-79)
4-    What is the nurse asking Romeo to be? (92-94) – Isn’t it a common theme for Romeo? Recall or notes other instance where other people asked Romeo to “stand up and be a man”.
5-    What is Friar Laurence suggesting Romeo do (first and then later).
